What is Boreal PDF for?
Boreal PDF helps you scan or import documents, add dates and signatures, compress files for upload limits, run OCR, preview the result, and export cleaner PDFs from iPhone.
Does Boreal PDF store my PDFs in the cloud?
The companion site is local-first and static-first. It does not provide cloud sync, account storage, or server-side document processing.
What is OCR best for?
OCR is best for printed forms, receipts, invoices, and other clear text. Handwriting, glare, low light, and heavy skew can reduce accuracy.
How does pricing work?
Boreal PDF is free to start with 5 documents per day. Within that allowance, core preparation tools stay in the workflow and exports include the Free watermark. Pro removes the daily document limit and unlocks watermark-free final export. Pro can be purchased as 24-hour access or as a monthly/yearly subscription. Current regional pricing should be checked on the App Store.
